Original pattern by the Master Planner. The original poptartcat animation itself was created by prguitarman. The original video was created by saraj00n and daniwell_aidn added the song.

I owe thanks to those who have written in to tell me who the genius creator of that was. Obvi-fuck-ously I did not, do not, and will never own the poptart cat. I just crocheted it. ^^;

Also, after I wrote prguitarman seeking his blessing, he gave me full permission to make and sell these. He even wanted one for himself. If you don't believe me, take it up with him.

Specifications:

Approximately 84" long and 5" wide, excluding fringe and removable poptart cat.

Materials used for scarf include: Caron Simply Soft in iris, blue mint, limelight, sunshine, mango, cherry red.

Materials used for poptart cat include: Bernat Satin in camel; Lion Brand Wool-Ease in oxford grey; 5/8" black buttons; DMC embroidery floss in pink; Bernat Satin Sport in black; Tulip brand slick fabric paint in light pink and pink.

Time: approximately four days, two of them all-nighters

Pictures taken at the local independent yarn shop. Photocollage made in approximately 45 minutes on MSPaint.

Special thanks should be given to deviantArt's Artisan Crafts Gallery Moderator `KubusRubus and everyone who suggested it for a Daily Deviation including `martypunker, =ExtraEspresso, ~quixotic-spark, `Gwendolyn12, ^Nyiana-Sama, =Topicality, and others. I've been practicing at work in between phone calls :giggle: It's hard to get them even and such. My current square is alternately getting bigger and then smaller again. :paranoid: But it's better than my first chains so I guess that's ok. Yay for youtube having tutorials! 8D I just want to make scarves. And blankets. And possibly gloves. Fuzzy gloves. Many, many fuzzy things.

It does take concentration, I agree...sometimes I end up sitting there pulling loops over threads by hand because I can't get the hook to do what I waaaaant and then I am sad. But I work all the time so it's the best place to practice really, once it gets late at night and there's 20/30 minutes between calls or more.
