Finally! My epic Spidey 2 project is finished and available for you to marvel at (and comment)! :iconexcitedplz:

It is also, incidentally, Second Place Winner for #dAKnitters' "Let's Go To the Movies" contest! (Read up on it here: [link]) :iconnumber2plz:

Thanks to my friend *OcksFusionReaction for helping me out on the photocollage and the movie stills. :manhug:

Warning: it is high-resolution. Sorry if you're browser-raeped but a tiny cellphone picture isn't going to do it justice. Yes, I know the picture is a bit tilted. I'm actually holding the afghan up so as to include the entire picture.

Slightly larger picture: [link]

You may download an even larger picture to soak your eyes in the impeccable detail, if you only ask me. :D

Measures about 45" x 60", perfect for snuggling up under while you watch a movie. (Spider-Man 2 of course.)

Techniques used: Tunisian crochet, cross stitch

Time spent: Almost three months

Money spent: Almost 90 USD

Materials used:

Lion Brand Wool-Ease in oxford grey, blue heather, black; Caron Simply Soft in soft white, cherry red, black, dark country blue, forest floor, chocolate, sundrop; Red Heart Soft Yarn in light gray heather; Bernat Satin in sable; DMC Precious Metal Effects embroidery floss in gold and Precious Jewel Effects embroidery floss in ruby and emerald.

Doc Ock and Spidey (c) to Marvel Comics, Spider-Man 2 (c) to Sony Pictures, :blahblah:

This is phenomenal. I can't even imagine the time and effort it took into making this. I think it's wonderful you chose to do an action shot as opposed to the two characters just facing off one another. Simply amazing.

It took me three months of crocheting and nearly two months of cross-stitching, and nearly $90 of yarn :iconimdeadplz:

But I won Second Place in a contest and got a three month subscription for my trouble! :la:
